Wedding services startup Meragi raises $9.1M in Series A round led by Accel

, a wedding services startup, has raised $9.1 million in its Series A round led by Accel. The round also participation from existing investors Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia Capital India & SEA) and Venture Highway, and angel investor Anupam Mittal.This infusion follow’s Meragi’s fund raise of $4.4 million last year.
The startup plans to use the capital to expand into more cities, launch partner venues and experience centres, and offer tech products to its customers.
Founded in 2021 by Abhinav Chandran, Lakshminarayan B, and Mukund Mohan Raj, Meragi offers end-to-end wedding services, including wedding planning, decoration, photography, and catering.

Meragi operates in key Indian marketsm including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and National Capital Region, and offers destination weddings in Goa and Jaipur.
In the last financial year, the company generated Rs 48 crore in gross merchandise value. It aims to double it in the current financial year and is targeting Rs 100 crore, said the company in a statement.
