Punjab minister Meet Hayer ties the knot in a VIP-studded ceremony | Chandigarh News

Punjab Cabinet Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer tied the knot with Dr Gurveen Kaur here on Tuesday, and it was truly a VIP-studded affair.
Top politicians, including Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Leader of Opposition in Punjab Vidhan Sabha Partap Singh Bajwa, former ministers Brahm Mohindra and Parminder Singh Dhindsa, graced the event.
The Anand Karaj (religious name for a Sikh wedding ceremony) took place at a private residence of Kanwar Sandhu, who is the father-in-law of former finance minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa.
Dr Gurveen Kaur is stated to be related to Sandhu. Later, the newly wed couple threw a party at a private resort in Naya Gaon.
Former Congress MLA Kulbir Singh Zira, who was recently arrested by police and subsequently bailed out, was also present on the occasion. Former Congress minister Brahm Mohindra and his son Mohit Mohindra too attended the party.

Sources said that Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and party leader Raghav Chadha have been invited for the reception here on Wednesday.
Cabinet ministers, including Harpal Cheema, Aman Arora, Balbir Singh, Bram Shankar Jimpa, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, Laljit Singh Bhullar, Chetan Singh Jouramajra, Anmol Gagan Maan, Gurmeet Singh Khuddian, Lal Chand Kataruchak and MLA Amritpal Singh Sukhanand, also participated in the celebrations. Chief Secretary Anurag Verma and DGP Gaurav Yadav were also in attendance.
