Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, who has faced several disappointments recently, is looking forward to some promising upcoming films. Among them, Barroz: Guardian of Treasures holds significant importance as it marks his directorial debut as well.

The fantasy film, written by Jijo Punnoose, renowned for scripting the iconic My Dear Kuttichathan/Chhota Chetan, based on his novel Barroz: Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure, also features Guru Somasundaram, Cesar Lorente Raton, Ignacio Mateos, and Kallirroi Tziafeta, with Mohanlal himself taking on the titular character.

Although initially planned for a December release this year, it has been confirmed that the movie will be out only next year. Unveiling a fresh poster with Mohanlal in the Barroz outfit, the makers recently announced that it will hit the screens on March 28, 2023, coinciding with the start of the summer holidays.
