Sonu Nigam says KK was ‘very introvert’, would never hang out with him and other singers: ‘Bina mile he chala gaya’ | Bollywood News

Singer Sonu Nigam says he is not an elusive person but a singer who was extremely introverted was KK. Sonu said he would hang out and meet other singers, but KK would never be a part of those meetings.
While Sonu rose to fame in the 90s, KK’s rise to fame happened in the late 90s and early 2000s– a time in Bollywood soundscape when the duo pretty much dominated the music scene.
In an interview with Ranveer Allahbadia, Sonu Nigam opened up about KK and how the singer would never meet anyone– and unfortunately left the world the same way.

“I remember KK would always tell me, ‘Bro I am very introvert.’ Shaan, Kunal Ganjawala, Papon, Abhijeet Da, Suresh Wadkar ji, Anup Jalota ji, Hariharan and I would keep meeting. We always keep having fun with each other.
“It is not like we would meet every day but when we would, it always used to be a good time. But KK wouldn’t meet. Bina mile he chala gaya (and now he left us without meeting). I miss him. But even when he was alive, he would not meet us. I believe when God wants you to be by yourself, you must. When you should have a bit of fun, you must do that as well,” he said.
Sonu recently shared a throwback video of KK talking about him and Shaan. Sonu captioned the video, “Still can’t believe he’s gone. Forever. His voice here, he taking my name, is making my heart heavy.”
After a terrific career of over 25 years, KK passed away in May 2022 aged 53. The singer was regarded as one of the most iconic voices of the last two decades and sang several chartbusters, for the biggest of stars to the smallest of films.
