CUET UG 2024: The Central University of Odisha uses the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores to admit candidates to its five-year integrated MSc in Mathematics programme. CUET UG and Central University of Odisha
Candidates who sought admission to the Central University of Odisha’s five-year integrated MSc in Mathematics programme under CUET UG 2023 had to appear for English (Code – 101), Mathematics (Code – 319) and Physics (Code – 322). The eligibility criteria to appear in the CUET UG 2023 exam and get admitted to the Central University of Odisha is Class 10+2 qualified in Science from a recognised board with mathematics and physics as subjects securing minimum 55 per cent marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in aggregate and 55 per cent in mathematics. Five per cent relaxation will be given to SC, ST and PwD candidates.
CUET UG and NEP provisions
The university also has the provision for lateral exit and lateral entry. In the four-year UG programme, after the completion of one year (two semesters), if someone wants to exit the student will get a certificate; while after two years (four semesters), the student will be conferred with a diploma.
Similarly, after the student completes three years (six semesters), a general UG degree certificate will be awarded. The student will be conferred a UG honours degree after the completion of the four years (8 semesters).
Central University of Odisha Scholarships
Odisha University offers several scholarships for students of all categories belonging to various courses. The University awards various fellowships and scholarships for the students of UG, PG and PhD programmes.
The scholarships and fellowships in the Central University of Odisha have been instituted as per the provision of the UGC, central government and the state government.
Freeships are also provided to students on the basis of their academic performance and/or financial condition, subject to availability of funds at university and fulfillment of eligibility criteria, while visually challenged students are provided scribe fees and reader allowance.
CUO hostel facilities
The university has well-maintained hostel facilities for both boy and girl students. These hostels offer basic amenities including beds, study tables, chairs, cupboards and fans to the hostel residents.
The students seeking hostel accommodation at the Central University of Odisha have to opt for the hostel facility during online admission applications. The students are provided hostel accommodation as per the university rules subject to the availability of seats.

Central University of Odisha: History
The Central University of Odisha was established by the Parliament of India under the Central Universities Act, 2009. The university is one of the 15 new central universities set up by the government of India during the UGC XI Plan period to address the concerns of “equity and access” and as per the policy of the Government of India to increase access to quality higher education by people in less educationally developed districts which have a Graduate Enrollment Ratio of less than the national average of 11 per cent.
