Applications to scholarship programmes open till Dec 29 | Pune News

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has opened applications for scholarships for meritorious students from the PMC area who passed their HSC or SSC examinations this year.

A one-time scholarship of Rs 15,000 will be awarded to meritorious students, who have passed their Class 10 HSC exam, under the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad scheme. Students who have passed Class 12 SSC exams are eligible for Rs 25,000 scholarship under the Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe scheme. Students can apply for these scholarship programmes till December 29.

Students from the open category who have scored more than 80 per cent in their 10th or 12th grade exams are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

Students of PMC schools, night schools and those belonging to the OBC category who have scored 70 per cent or more, can also apply.

Children of sanitation workers and labourers as well as students with at least 40% disability need a minimum score of 65 percent to be eligible for these scholarships.
