The state government on Tuesday announced that it would organise the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ from November 15 to January 26 across the state, which will be “in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and on the directives of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The yatra aims at promoting and publicising government schemes at several levels and ensuring that the benefits of these reach the eligible people, said officials.

Officials said that “registration of eligible beneficiaries of different schemes will also take place in the course of the journey”.
“The urban development department has directed all the municipal commissioners and executive officers of municipality, nagar panchayat regarding the yatra,” said a government spokesperson.
“In the order issued by Principal Secretary, Urban Development Department, Amrit Abhijat, it has been said that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra would be organised to effectively deliver the benefits of public facilities and government schemes to the most vulnerable through active public participation in the urban bodies of the state,” added the spokesperson.
