The police Monday arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly drink-driving and hitting four pedestrians, including three women, in South Delhi’s Greater Kailash area, officers said.
The onlookers caught the car driver Vinay, who was later taken into custody by the police, they said.

DCP (South) Chandan Chowdhary said that Vinay who was heading towards Chirag Delhi from Moolchand side on Sunday night was heavily drunk and his alcohol metre test was at 280 ml.
Police added that the accused drove the car in a rash and negligent manner and crashed into four people as they were crossing the road at the Archana Red Light bus stop. The injured people – Harish, 54, Seema, 46, Rekha, 46 and an unknown woman aged 47 – were rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre.
Their statements will be taken once they are fit, said an officer. The accused driver has also been sent to AIIMS Trauma Centre, he said.
