🚨 Big Story
Dense fog has led to massive disruptions in flight operations in North India, particularly at the country’s largest airport — New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport. On Monday, tempers soared as a passenger assaulted an IndiGo pilot owing to a purported 13-hour delay in takeoff.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued guidelines to airlines that they should publish real-time information regarding flight delays on their websites, inform affected passengers through WhatsApp messages and email, and sensitise their staff at airports to communicate with passengers.
Beyond the fog, here’s what else is causing chaos at the Delhi airport.
