Michele Rose, owner of pets Mowgli the cat and Daisy the dog, experienced a rollercoaster of emotions during the six days she spent tirelessly searching for Mowgli. As the days passed without any sign of the cat, Michele was on the verge of giving up hope.
However, Daisy, seemingly attuned to something the human senses could not detect, exhibited an unusual excitement and restlessness. Michele followed Daisy as she guided her towards a footpath and then came to an abrupt stop near an old mineshaft.
Recognising the potential danger, Michele wasted no time and immediately called upon the expertise of the RSPCA and Cornwall Fire and Rescue. Responding swiftly to the distress call, the rescue teams arrived, prepared to navigate the challenges presented by the mineshaft and rescue the missing feline.
