Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath launched an attack on Congress for “seeing the country through the lens of slavery” and “denying the existence of Lord Ram and Krishna”, while giving the country the problems of “terrorism, extremism and Naxalism”.
At Shajapur district in Madhya Pradesh, Adityanath said, “in this election (in Madhya Pradesh), it has become clear that on one hand there are Ram devotees and on the other, there are Ram opponents.”
When BJP came to power in UP, he said, “The 500-year-old dispute was resolved to pave way for the construction of Ram Temple (in Ayodhya).” “During Congress regime, (they said) Akbar is great in history. They do not consider Maharana Pratap to be great. BJP says Maharana Pratap and Chhatrapati Shivaji are great. Congress sees the whole country from the lens of slavery…” Adityanath said. “They said the existence of Lord Ram and Krishna is a myth,” he said.
