Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar will conduct a hearing in the Shiv Sena MLAs disqualification issue Thursday.
Last week, Narwekar clubbed the 34 petitions seeking the disqualification of 54 Shiv Sena MLAs of two factions — one led by Uddhav Thackeray and the other by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde — into six groups based on their similarities in nature and cause of action. The hearing on the first group of petitions will begin at 4 pm.
During last week’s hearing, Narwekar also asked the Shinde-led Sena to submit before him by October 25 the same information that both factions had submitted in the Supreme Court.
