Domestic equities fell for the sixth session straight on Thursday tracking global markets, the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. BSE benchmark Sensex plunged 407.75 points, or 0.64 per cent to 63,641.31, while broader NSE Nifty 50 slumped 119.65 points, or 0.63 per cent to 19,002.50.
By 9.25 am, Sensex was trading 457.30 points, or 0.71 per cent lower to 63,591.76, and Nifty50 was down 154.90 points, or 0.81 per cent to 18,967.25.
In the 30-share Sensex pack and Nifty50 index, only Axis Bank was trading in positive.

All broader market and sectoral indices were trading in red in the morning session. Sectorally, the realty index took the biggest plunged and fell 1.62 per cent, followed by metal at 1.26 per cent, media at 1.20 per cent, PSU Bank at 0.96 per cent, auto at 0.91 per cent, and the Nifty Healthcare Index at 0.88 per cent.
Tech Mahindra, M&M, Adani Enterprises, Hindalco, Adani Ports, Bajaj Finserv, Tata Motors, Bajaj Finance, Hero MotoCorp, LTI Mindtree, UPL, Tata Steel, Eicher Motors, JSW Steel, and Asian Paints were the top losers in the opening session.
