India cricketer Virat Kohli has millions of fans all over the world. Many people who follow the cricketer are not only fans of his impeccable batting skills but also try to ace his looks. Kartik Sharma, a software engineer from Chandigarh who calls himself Kohli’s biggest fan, also looks uncannily similar to him.
Sharma, whose Instagram handle is named @kartikkohli_18, has amassed 2.26 lakh followers on the social media platform. Having got the same hairstyle and beard as Kohli, Sharma looks like a carbon copy of the former India captain. In August, Sharma posted a photo of himself donning an India jersey.
In an interview he gave to Humans of Bombay in July, he said wherever he goes people mistake him for Kohli and even take pictures with him. He said he couldn’t take up cricket professionally but it has always been his passion. He hopes to meet Kohli one day and tell him that he is his biggest fan.
“Bro looks more like Virat Kohli than Virat Kohli himself,” a user commented. “Bro for a second I actually thought he was Virat Kohli,” said another. “Sometimes seeing you, it seems that you are Virat Kohli’s twin brother who must have been separated before,” wrote a third.
Kohli, who is currently playing the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, scored 85 runs along with K L Rahul rescued India after a top-order collapse during their chase of 200 runs against Australia in the opening match at the M A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
