In India, cows are considered to be a sacred animal. However, the population of stray cows, that do not give milk, is booming as they are abandoned on the roads and left to feed for themselves.
A woman rescued a male calf that was abandoned on the road and was looking for milk. The woman said she spotted the abandoned calf trying to drink milk from a milk parlour. The shop owner was trying to shoo it away, she said.

On enquiring about it, she found out the calf was abandoned by someone a day before because it was a male and was not profitable to the owner. The calf appeared to be only two months old and was missing its mother, she wrote.
With the help of a man, she put the calf in her car and took it home. At her home, her rescue dogs were happy to see the calf. She then arranged for the calf to be taken to a shelter home where it would live with other stray cattle, 120 kms away. The calf travelled to the shelter home the next day. On reaching the place, the calf was given a bath and fed green grass. The video appears to be somewhere from Madhya Pradesh.

Good for nothing goons only killing people in the name of cows while the ground realities today are pitiful with so many male calves being abandoned, left to die on roads,” a user commented. “Dairy industry is so bad! Cows are why we should be vegan!” said another. “God bless you. You are such an inspiration,” wrote a third. “You’re a true human,” another person said.
